Team6 Produces Glacier2 for the Wii

Some of you might not be familiar with Glacier, a combat racing game that puts the gamer behind the wheel of the Iceblade, a heavily-armored, turbocharged vehicle that goes down an icy mountain full of falling rocks and high-flying jumps.

Team6, the company that made Glacier, plans to release the sequel Glacier2 to the Wii. This would be the first time that Team6 has worked with Nintendo’s Wii, and it would appear that the company plans to take advantage of the Wii’s motion controls.

Gameplay involves the player driving one of seven cars to go through eighteen different levels. Since this is a racing game, the object is to cross the line first, and with the heavily armored cars you’ll be playing with you can efficiently eliminate your competition. Yes, Glacier2 looks like a more hardcore version of Mario Kart for the Wii.

As for the tracks, it looks like you’ll be going down the Alps or Everest, or something that will be straight down and deadly. Hey, I got a suggestion for the developers: make Glacier2 take place during a new Ice Age.

I would imagine that Team6 would have time to make such a change, because there is no word when the game will be out.
