giinii movit mini high res1 The GiiNii has granted your first wish with the Movit Mini and MaxxI have been receiving many emails from a company called GiiNii before CES 2009, and I was glad that I took the time to visit their booth. I got to preview the Movit Mini, a product that was only recently introduced at the show.

The Movit Mini has a screen size of about 4.3 inches, and is a full touchscreen with 480 x 272 resolution. The device has a Windows-like main menu that opens by sliding your finger across the screen like an iPhone. Other features include 256MB worth of storage, Bluetooth compatibility, plus a calculator, alarm and address book.

The Movit Mini and the seven inch screen Movit Maxx are Wi-Fi capable, so users can update social networking sites, receive RSS feeds, and anything else they can do on the web like send and receive e-mail. The Movit Mini has been billed as a mobile social networking and communications device. GiiNii wants to market the Mini toward the young Myspace and Facebook generation, who spend much time online.

The company also hopes the youth will use the Skype application to make phone calls, instead of running up charges with minutes on a normal mobile phone plan. The Movit even has a built-in video camera for video conferencing.

GiiNii expects to have the Movit out by the summertime, at a very low price of $149. So, do you like to Movit, Movit? Yeah, I couldn’t resist.
