One of problems with living in a digital age is the need to have constant input from multiple sites. Bebo has recently unveiled a new feature on its site called the Social Inbox, which can organize e-mail, social feeds, as well as media recommendations in one easy-to-use interface.
The Social interface aggregates feeds and updates from Twitter, Flickr, Del.icio.us, YouTube, AIM, as well as others. They can be organized in chronological order, and can be grouped by person. It has a localized RSS reader can deliver the latest news from around the world from many countries.
It also has one-click access to electronic mail such as Gmail, Yahoo!Mail, and AOL mail. Now there is no more having to go from site to site to see the latest e-mail updates.
Bebo’s Open Media Platform has also added on a recommendations engine for online entertainment that includes video, music, groups, and games. These Media Favorites are all based on users’ stated preferences as well as aggregated data from what the user’s friends are watching or listening to.
Personally, I think that Bebo is getting ahead of the game when it comes to the future of the web. Allowing users to pool key updates and information from multiple sites onto one spot gives users a way to what we all want to do: simplify our life.
