I followed these links and found, that you don’t actually have to pay to get cool Twitter backgrounds. I found many web pages, which also offer cool and interesting design for Twitter and you can get them for free.

Thanx for these – i’ve just had fun playing with BGpatterns and created a new background for my @mmSeason profile and i can see myself having more fun playing with some of the others as i get better at tweaking my own designs.

I agree with Ricky that i don’t want to pay for an image. I’m not that close to being professional yet. ;0)

Only trouble was that BGpatterns didn’t accept my anti-spam ‘disposable’ email address but forced me to use my ‘real’ one. I could download my pattern without registering, so it didn’t really matter, but i’d rather have supported them.

Oh, by the way, i’m tweeting this post because it’s so useful. :0)

Anyone who does custom twitter backgrounds for near-$100 is coo coo! Get it? Coo coo, twitter, bird? Yeah, I’m a dork.

I also do them for pay, but less than half that. $30 is usually the most I ask. And only when explicitly requested by people who want a completely custom background.
