Great angle and a lot went into establishing a framework...Really made me think! I've been considering it as a consequence of the rising entrepreneurial sect. I've always thought it wise that every individual should be a business entity called, "Me Inc." as a way to get the right perspective on personal interactions and financial operations. From that, marketing and sales would require a PR approach that would include a market presence. But this theory does not have to be web-oriented. Old fashioned interactions can work just as well.

made it through with my head spinning but the content is good food for thought and makes one start to think about where we are headed. It is thought provoking and ahead of where we are going... retail has to figure this out or they will be dead on a consumer store front basis. That friends, will effect the wallet economy as the traditional malls close from lack of real attention from buyers with discretionary money in their pockets. It's all about who is going to get the discretionary dollar and it does fall back on who gets the most attention. Thanks for making us think!

Thanks for the praise, Ron, but you are fundamentally mistaken in stating that "Attention Economics is primarily concerned in getting consumers to consume advertising." That in fact has little to do with proper Attention Economics, and is a view spread in the unfortunate book by Davenport and Beck, which I do not at all endorse. One has to think more deeply to get a the true meaning of this new economy, which you do do in part of your article. This new economy is a complete departure from the money economy, with which it necessarily vies for dominance.
