I'm looking for a good reliable shopping cart with possible ways to tie into credit card validation (not necessarily processing).
Any thoughts? |

I assume you're looking for PHP developed shopping carts. osCommerce is good, if you have some PHP knowledge. Else you might want to try out Zen Cart, or Interchange.
I'm not too keen and well informed on paid solutions, however, as I've never used them; usually, I'd just suggest Shopify if you're going to pay. |

Thanks! I'll give them a try. Free is always good.

Yup, OScommerce is quite a nice set-up. Might take a little while to configure it to the way you like it. But it's FREE!! ;)

Best to go with free and open-source things when it comes to your website. At least if it's open source, you can look at the code and make sure there is nothing malicious. Some coders make programs that cause damage upon uninstallation.
