Broken Zunes

Reports are popping up all across Internet forums about Zunes committing suicide. The Microsoft 30GB Zune players are ceasing to work everywhere and all at the same time. Gizmodo and Zune forums are two examples of where this news is coming from. This Zune crisis is being dubbed Z2K9 due to the simultaneous mass failure at the end of the year. The below comment is taken from a Zune user that reported his issues to Gizmodo: Apparently, around 2:00 AM today, the Zune models either reset, or were already... Read More

This week marks the unveiling of not one, but two, cellular phones that can be worn as a watch. Is this going to be the fad of 2009, or is this just the last flash-in-the-pan for 2008? The first is the one on the left, the Phenom Watch Phone. It is a GSM phone, which has a 1.3 inch touchscreen display. Other features include a microSD as well as Bluetooth compatibility. The second is made by LG, and doesn’t appear to have any nickname, but is known as the LG-GD910. It is the first 3G HSDPA... Read More

Search Engines

Search engines such as Google and Yahoo index web pages with search engine spiders. These spiders are simple software programs that follow all the links that they can find on your web pages to index all of the other pages on your website. Text links are about all these spider-bots will be able to follow. JavaScript and Flash links and menus are too complex for most search engine spider-bots, some even have trouble with image links. It’s best for you to stick to simple text links whenever possible,... Read More

It’s nice when the fans of a television show speak up with a voice so loud that a production network can’t help but listen. After all, Fox actually brought back the previously cancelled Family Guy, and it was Firefly fans that were, for the most part, responsible for the movie Serenity. A similar situation happened with the show PixelPerfect, a show from Revision3. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the show, it stars Bert Monroy, who teaches the viewer what is new with... Read More

For all those clamoring for some different formats for their smudgy iPhone pictures, USB Fever answers your calls. The aluminum attachment fixes to your iPhone magnetically, providing a unique alternative to other iPhone lenses, which usually use cumbersome clamps to awkwardly attach the lens. According to the product’s site the attachment also works with many other devices, such as other mobile phones, digital cameras, and notebooks. But if your device isn’t already magnetic, or “mangeic”... Read More

I’m sure everyone knows the legend of Duke Nukem Forever, which is considered to be the greatest game never made. For those that don’t, DNF was first announced way back in 1997, back when games like Quake and Riven ruled the world. The game has suffered more delays than Tom Cruise’s last movie, and most of them are the result of them changing game engines. DNF has since won Wired’s Vaporware awards for almost eight years in a row. Apparently, some new screenshots have... Read More
